The team was coached by Fred Dreier, freshman coach for 3 years. Coach Dreier gives his assistant coach, Hugh Mills, much of the credit for the team's out- standing defense. Billy Inman was described as the Spartan's best runner, and Rick Hanson as the best pass receiver. A total team effort, however, pro- duced a 6-win, no loss record. Coach Dreier com- mented, This year's freshman team, based on its overall strengths is one of the better football teams that I have had the privilege of coaching. With a strong second-place finish in the NAL the J.V. team ended their season with 5 wins 3 losses and I tie. The team coached by Mark Skrabo and Ron Bauguss managed to play good tough football. Eric Casey was elected Most Valuable Player and Tom Crespin was elected Most Inspirational Player. Coach Skrabo commented about next years team Right now it s difficult to say what offense we ll be running but you can look for a balanced attack. f1Tt'Zt1-isps? if I36 J V. and Frosh Football
