POKEIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT - PAKISTAN H E 2 ,4,:: ,t 1 p E is c I? fx My Dreams Come True july 24th, 1961 was the day when my dreams turned to reality, You have been awarded the scholar - ship by the American Field Service, New York, unquote, read the letter , My joys knew no bounds , Iwas over excited and could hardly believe it. I had never seen a happier smile on my father's face as I saw then. On the llth of August I was on my way to California, fabulous and rich land that lay across the ocean . I have brought to you from my countrymen goodwill, friendship, and better understanding, lwill be ever grateful to my most beloved family who opened their home for me, my wonderful school and the kids who are so warm, friendly and sincere , And last but not least the whole community for doing everything possible to make me happy and my stay a wonderful one. I have enjoyed every moment in this school with the kids . I shall always have the sweet memories of the good old days to cherish and keep forever though far away across the oceans. I have also been very impressed by the objectives of various youth organizations to help their nation, help the underdeveloped countries and the unfortu- nate people who look up to you as their only ray of hope.
