They are the relationship of man to the world in which he lives, man’s relationship to his fellow man. and man’s knowledge of himself. It is the goal of the department to encour- age students to develop a keen under- standing of these principles, so that they may ultimately utilize them in establishing the skills and rationale for building an even better America. 29
