J 'su deytb Fam Published By THE IOURNALISM CLASS RECTOR HIGH SCHOOL Rector, Arkansas 1954 Fw We, the Class of '54 have decided to look ahead into the future. As we look into the crystal ball, we see Bonnie Adams now working as a bookkeeper for Brewer Lumber Co. She said she couldn't stay in contact with the Brewer family any other way. Frank Collier is a typing teacher at Boydsville High School. Those two that were inseparable in high school, Glory and Winnie, are now occupying a room in the Old Maids' Home. Donald Barkemeyer and Shirley Cox are counting on their fingers to keep up with the kids. Can you imagine Jack Calvin a five-star General? Well, he is! Dan Donaldson is presi- dent of the New York Times. Guess talking back to Miss Mobley got him some place. Reba Bateman is trying to organize a Woman's Foreign Legion with her as president. Josie Chapman is now a Woods and has many little splinters. I saw Bobby Dudley the other day and he now holds the record flying speed from New York to San Francisco, fifty-five minutes. Joyce Crawford and Marilene Curtiss are both teaching Home Ec, Joyce at Stevens and Marilene at Ole Miss. Tommy McGinrhy now has his Masters' Degree. He was always smart. Martha Deniston is going to college still looking for a man. Anthony Linam and Bobby Livesay are travelers. Their last voyage was to Marmaduke. Patsy McDonald and Donald Pruett are both coaches for the Hopewell Bob Cats. The last game, Hopewell- vs. Hoxie was won by the Bob Cats. Sue Marlar is now a Senior at University of A. and her major is Hoytology. Wilma Jeter is still driving the 1950 Blue Plymouth, only little heads are sticking up in the back seat. Bob Lyles is now playing baseball for the St. Louis Cards. Darrylyn Rust just swam the English Channel and she is trying to swim the Atlantic! After so long, Carolyn Reynolds and Bob Milburn have finally made it to the altar. They're spending their honeymoon at Gradys Camp. Norma Joyce Phillips has five engagement rings and all two carats each. Royal Ozier is an Agriculture Teacher at Scatterville. Jerry Roberts has his own TV program named 'The Susie Baker Show' ! Rueben Seay, Howard Shrum, James Taylor and Joe Wall have organized the non-women quartet. Glenda and Loretta Wesley are doing very good. They're popular models with Loretta modeling blue jeans and Glenda, long underwear. Our 6'1 , 130 lb. girl, Vera Thornberry, is now Miss America. Anna Lou Thomas and Cleatis Edwards are now hiring out as baby-sitters. You ought to see Gary Melrose. He's teaching Shorthand at Hargraves. The Air Force has called upon one of our boys. Poor J. H., he always wanted in the Navy. Harold Hicks is sending invitations for his eighth wedding. Thank goodness, he's not a bigamist. Jerry Tidwell is going to the University of Missouri. He's learning how to become a Rust. Betty Landrum has twenty-eight children. Just think, Phylis Hobbs, Maid of Cotton, 1956, is now making her world tour. Last week they had a contest for the ugliest girl in the world. Shirley Dortch was one of the top five. Shelby Newton, who has always loved Indiana is now making her home there. Don't know why she wanted to be a Hoosier! William Mosely, owner of the Circle T Ranch, has a cook by the name freeda Faye. I visited the White House the other day, and I saw Wayne Gould sitting behind a desk a was a sign saying, 'The President. Margaret Mouser is competing with Marilyn Monroe for e title of Miss Hollywood. Louise Lucy is manager of the Stork Club with Bill Romine as crooner. Have you ever seen a French bathing suit? Melda Morris sure looks nice in one, since the President of France is her husband. They say Ronnie Crews is the greatest thing out since Caruso. He's now employed at the Metropolitan Opera. Thomas Miller is Heavyweight champion of the world. Has anyone seen Ronnie Reese's newest invention? It washes, dries, hangs up and puts away clothes all at the same time! James Lacy is now a doctor in Memphis. Once in a while he will also pull a tooth. Betty Sue Mills is in business, too, She is the only lady dentist in the South. Betty Romine is a lady-in-waiting. That is, waiting for her man to come home from service since he's only been gone eight years. Frances Tracy and Ora Nel Branson are the stars of stage and screen. They're known as 'The Giggling Two. The crystal ball is getting very dim andl can hardly see no more. I guess that is all. D NISTRATIUN MR. JAMES T. HUGGINS President MR. E, P. SEAY Secretary MR. C. H. RUST MR, H. R, FRENCH MR.
