' l CHALK ANDTHEIQ W N I: I2 SENIDIQ GIIQI. On October 22, the day before the second annual Powder Puff C. plea came over the announcements. lt was an imitation of the faculty team begging for mercy. The faculty, however, did not need this mercy. Although they lost, they played a very good game. The final score was senior girls 26 and female faculty 6. ame, a ball. Ms. During the first quarter of the game, the faculty had control of the 4 ' l ' t uchdown for the faculty team. After this Sharrow made the first and on y o V the seniors took control. loni Sautkus scored the first touchdown for the ' ' hd wns. senio r team. Later, Kathy Quain carried the ball for three touc o The first Powder Puff Came was held two years ago. This year the game was brought back and sponsored by the Student Council. 'XWe restarted a tradition that we hope will continue, said Carol Singleton, f f d it brought a la er on the senior team. She also said, l'lt was a lot o un an P Y the girls together. Karen Sansone, another member of the Senior team, said, 'llt was great havin a chance to participate in the homecoming activities. The game gave 8 the girls a chance to try something different in their senior year. Mr. Pearson, the faculty coach, said that the performance of his team was Tloutstandingf' This was also considering everything the faculty had to fi t' e the were shown learn. The faculty had five practices. At the irst prac ic , y which end of the ball was up. After that they worked on passes and their M Pearson thought the game was a lot of fun but also was serious plays. r. and competitive. He hopes the tradition will be continued, possibly with an allowance made for the faculty, such as the touchdown being worth more. Ms. Paxton, a member of the faculty team said, Pl enjoyed it very much. l'm glad the tradition continued. l also think the senior girls enjoyed it.
