pw if' This year's special events gave Reavis students something to look forward to. These traditions, the sub-plots of our movie, have become everlasting memories. The 1983 Spring Musical, llloseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoatf' was a success because of the months of practice the students and teachers put into it. Prom was a night to remember. More students attended this event than ever before in Reavis' history. The stars, the Class of 1983, stepped into the spotlight on graduation night. Homecoming weekend began with the powder puff game on Friday. Saturday brought rain, the parade, the football game, and the dance. No one will forget hoping that the clouds would disappear just until Sunday. '83 I3 BHVBS 66 ilStil1 mnressio Prom: The Night of Special Memories Prom is the oldest and most loved event of the year. It is a special event for the students. Except tor graduation, prom would be the last event that the seniors vvould have in high school. For the juniors vvho attend, the Prom is just a preview of what they can expect to encounter next year. Over 500 Reavis students, guests, and taculty members par- ticipated in the 32nd annual Reavis Prom on Friday May 13, 1983. The prom vvas held in the Grand Ballroom ot the glamorous Conrad Hilton, for the 19th consecutive year. The prom began with a check in from 7100-8:00 p.m. During check in students received place cards, tvvo souvenirs la stuffed animal and a key chain made especially tor the proml, and a prom bid. Atten- dants vvere asked to sign the guest register, proceed through the reception line, and select their table for the evening. A seven course dinner vvas served at 8:00 p.m. The musical groups began at 9:00. The ten piece Dick Carlton Orchestra for ballroom dancing alternated vvith Shovvcase, a rock group. Music I continued until 12:30 am. I Special recognition was given to the honored guests at 10:30. The lunior Class selected Mr. William Lyon and Ms. Dorinda Urbauer to 1 be honored guests for their ' outstanding contributions to Reavis.
