The Reovis Bond performed Pomp ond Circumstonceu os the groduotes filed into the stodium. After severol musicol selections were performed by the choir, Mr. Willioms presented the closs honors. Joon Bochenski wos nomed the Outstonding Girl Scholor, while Gory Borkouski received the boys' honor. Veroniko Holzberger ond Kelly Quoin received the Robert R. Then Mr. Fitzgerold presented the troditionol Hickory Stick Awords to Sue Sukel ond Rick Poge. The Hickory Sticks ore presented to one boy ond girl who contributed the most to Reovis in four yeors. A TIME TO ENTERTAIN Candlelight ll is a relatively new tradition at Reavis High School, In its fourth yeor, Candlelight ll follows in the tradition of the real Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, offering an evening of entertainment that brings both music and acting to the Reavis stage. This year Mr. Bill Wadington, Candlelight technical and acting direc- tor, presented Sganarelle, a one-act play, and Dandelion Wine: a reader's theatre presentation, A catered dinner started off the even- ing and was followed by the Reavis Jazz Band and Show Choir in their debut performance of the year. Following this, 'Dandelion Wine was performed. Written by Ray Bradbury, this reader's theatre presenta- tion consists of six cast members. They were Kevin l-laines, Charlie Nienhouse, Sue Ross, Erin Solkowski, Karen Staley, and Jim Webb. Dandelion Wine is the story of the life of a young boy in the sum- mer of 1928. It is the time of his life when he realizes that he must die sometime. Once he does this he can live his life to the fullest. After the Show Choir performed in what was also their debut for the year, Sganarelle , the other one-act play, began. Sganarelle is a farce written by French playwright Moliere. The play is about the daughter of a man who wants her to marry someone other than her loved one, The story ends with everyone thinking that his lover is hav- ing an affair. lt is a comedy of errors where everyone does the right thing with the wrong conclusion. The play results in a hilarious ending and all the lovers are reunited with their right partners. Cast included Frank Tieri as the Father, Dore Jaragosky as the young girl, Dina Tieri as the Maid, Ray Lesniewski as Sganarelle, Laura Baltis as the Wife, John McNally as the Boyfriend, and Kevin Haines as the l3oyfriend's Sidekick. Other cast members included Lori Lesniewski as the nosey relative of Sganarelle and Charlie Nienhouse as the father of the young girl, Candlelight ll was a roaring success and Mr. Waddington had this to say about the Fall Evening of Fun - Candlelight ll . lt was one of the best Candlelights ever.
