Two bands featured at prom One of the oldest traditions of our school is the Junior and Senior Prom. Originally, only Juniors and Sen- iors could attend Prom. The 1974 Student Council authorized Soph- omores to attend only if one of the couple is a Junior or Senior. The prom was held in the Grand Ballroom ofthe Conrad Hilton Ho- tel in mid-may. Prom featured two bands. One band, Dick Carl- ton's Orchestra of eleven pieces played ballroom and fifties music, and Choice played the latest rock tunes. The evening included a seven course formal dinner followed by three and one-half hours of danc- ing. Prom-goers were dressed in their formal best and had an op- portunity to have portraits taken so as to cherish the memories. Top: Zig Markowski, Marie Hartell, Sherrie Loper, Greg Rabus, Jean Julien, and Tim James take a moment to organize them- selves before going into the main dance hall. Middle right: Dave Kacz and Roberta Mur- den got together to dance to a slow tune by Dick Carlton's Orchestra. Middle Left: Jeanette Mutis and Bob Pow- ers seem to add frills and fancy colors to the evening.
