A body of bored bleacher based students assembled in the main gym last May, while more than fif- ty awards were presented to Rea- vis students. Although many students squirmed in their seats, the friends of award recipients clapped, screamed, and gave standing ovations. Doris M. Szymanski and Judy Szeraj were named co-valedictori- ans. Paula A. Mikrut, was named salutatorian. The girls said they achieved the honor by setting their goals high and working hard. Top: Among the many awards Mr. Bernard Hayton recieved upon his retirement from Reavis was the AFROTC Outstanding Ser- vice Award to Civilians, presented by Colo- nel Grubbs. Bottom Left: Speech for me was a very rewarding experience, proclaims Glenn McCIister who was awarded Most Out- standing Speaker Award, by taking third in State competition. Glenns' wish is that more people become interested in speech and debate. Bottom Right: Students clap to the school song during the awards assembly.
