Our High School Activities FRESHMAN YEAR n the evening of September 24 we were Initiated by the seniors Previously we had to wear green caps for two days before the ll'llllOl'lOl'l and also to come dressed in costume to school Friday Our main social event of the year was our class party on the evening of May 6 The seniors were our guests and the evening was spent in dancing Sally Wlllms was our carnival candidate for Carnival Queen SOPHOMORF YEAR The high light of the year was the dance on October l4 i955 We also had a roller skating party at Cooks Roller Rink on April 3 Both were successful and enloyed by all Janice Hendrix was our carnival candidate for Carnival Queen JUNIOR YEAR On November 29 30 we presented our class play Our Hearts Were Young and Gay It was a three act comedy On the evening of April 27 we honored the seniors with a Junior Senior Prom The theme was Club 58 featuring the Starlight Room A great deal of time effort and planning went into making our prom a success Nancy Cole was our carnival candidate for Carnival Queen SENIOR YEAR Our first activity as seniors was the initiation of the freshmen On March 27 28 we presented our class play Strictly Formal It was a three act comedy We were honored with the banquet and prom put on by the Junior class on the evening of April l2 Other activities of the seniors were Seniors Day Career Day at Wilbur on April 23 and the Senior Dinner for the Seniors and their parents Our last and most important events were Baccalaureate and Commencement Our class was active all four years in various activities such as FF A Athletics Girls League band and chorus PLAY CAST Jane Karen Reilly Mrs Tilton Janice Hendrix Sa y Joan Kinservrk Josie Tilton Connie Ort Agnes Judy Hein E roy Dick Kamm Andrew Cutler John Peek George Lemar La Fontaine Nettie Cutler Barbara Foryan Marcia Virginia Triplett Mr Ahern Bob Plotts Cindy Collins Kathy Mahrt Jim Ed Lynch Marilyn Nancy Cole Rose Tilton June Rhoads Lt Bob Cunningham Herbert Franson Director Mr McKay , . 1 L , . . , . . . 11 1 11 - - . . . , - - - 11 1 11 - - 1 1 f 11 - 11 , . . 5 1 1 . . ,, , - 1 1 1 '
