BILL MAHRT Sunce I have received my musuc degree I have moved back East It IS hard to belueve that comung from a small hugh school band luke Reardon s I could be the conductor of the largest symphony orchestra In New York Last week whule I was con ducting at Carnelge Hall I had an unusual experuence The Queen of England asked for my autograph Recently I found out that my name us to appear on a plaque In the Musucal Hall of Fame CHERRYL JACOBSEN Because I have worked so many years at the Economy Statuon In Aurway Heughts I have decuded to Invest my fortune In thus station We have twenty of the most modern gas pumps What I mean by thus IS that when a car drives up all the druver has to do IS push the button for the type of gas he wushes Someday when you druve by and your car needs washung come In and we wull wash It free In the new electronic car washer All you have to do IS druve up and say car wash please Before you can funush your car us sparklung clean and ready to go ELEANOR REMMERS I have been marrued twenty years now and my husband Charlue Anderson stull our twentieth anniversary In the statuon we are guvung an open house We wull be guvung free suckers to the children corsages to the women and two gallons of free gas to the men I help Charlue a lot whule he wauts on cars I usually wash the car windows or full the gas tanks I let hum do the rest I used to help hum at the end of the month wuth all of the bookkeeping but now he has hured a helper from Spokane DICK SHERWOOD I guess you didnt know that I followed you from Davenport to Reardon last Thurs day afternoon As a member of the State Patrol I want to compliment you on your cautuous druvung It IS my duty to Inform you however that on June I a new law goes Into effect one that surely affects you Our super highway beung what It IS the extreme ly slow druver IS becoming a hazard After June I please mauntaun a speed of no less than 25 mules an hour Since that us IO mules faster than your average speed I would suggest your having a thorough check up before that tume both for yourself and your l948 Plymouth JOE SMITH Duck and I have been talkung about your car Isnt It tume for you to purchase a new one? Of course I sell Volkswagons too but for a man of your buuld I recommend a fune car luke the Jaguar Speed I5 no problem You could even outrun the Highway Patrol somethung Ive wanted to do sunce I was a senuor ID hugh school VERLA DICKEY The one hundred dollar scholarshup I won whule a senuor through all of my years of 4H homemakung has really paud off Wuth y scholarship money I went on to Cheney to college where I mauored In Home Economucs Aft r gradu ating from E W C E I taught Home Ec In one of the local hugh schools for two years From there I became one of the Luncoln County 4 H Extensuon Ag nts and also I am leader of the club In thus dustruct e Future Homemokers of Tomorrow These actuvutues really keep me busy but I am enuoyung every munute of It PHILLIP KOBERSTINE Sunce the three rural schools Warsaw Four Mound and Indian Prourue have con soludated wuth Reardon I have taken over my father s 'ob as bus driver My bus route IS one of the largest because I have to puck up more children I used to rude my dads bus and now I puck up my brothers chuldren It seems as If the Koberstunes wull always be associated wuth the Reardon Schools IU on way or and full of fun as these chuldren are I really do enloy my Iob although I spend most of the tume battlung wuth snow drufts muddy roads and school chuldren LAVINA TRIPLETT I am now the owner of the Trip Ietts Triple Haur Salon Recently several students from Reardon Hugh School came to have theur haur dyed green for theur school play It brought back the memorues of when I was a senuor and had to have my hour dyed red for our class play For months after wards I stull had streaks of red In my haur Now they have come out with a new solutuon called Ready Leave which takes the color rught out I hope the senuors have as much fun with theur green haur as we dud when ours was red BOB KIRK I have been playung tennus ever sunce I furst came to Reardon and that was In l957 After graduating from Reardon I went back to my old home town of Waukon I Inheruted the general store that my pappy had owned I Improved the store but my heart has never really been ID It So I decuded to hure a storekeeper and turn to my old hobby of tennus I have moved to Floruda where I can play all year long I have scheduled a champuonshup tennus match In Swutzerland whuch wull determune whether or not I wull become a professuonal tennus player I wull wrute and let you know the outcome of the game . .
