A bunch of psychological knots Actually things are not that bad but Laurie confident that her college courses In psychology will qualify her to straighten out her famllys tangled lives goes zealously She also gives the family word association tests intelligent tests and blood on the brain tests All goes well until she gives the Zombrowskx Ink Blot test to a group of her mother s best friends whsle they are at her home for tea The guests personalities are laid bare and they furiously stalk from the room That night after Laurie has gone on a date the family decides to do a little purg ing on their own When Laurie returns at one thirty In the mornnng they put on a show that Laurie will long remember Laurie In her humiliation leaves home The family then spend many anxious hours seeking for her In the meantime other dlffi culties are smoothed out and Sid Huntington eventually ends up with a better under standing of his rival The returning Laurie finds forgiveness from her family and Wally and Joansie have rediscovered each other and everyone has learned something new and helpful about themselves . 1 .
