I remember my first day at RMHS. Freshmen. A shuffling of feet, a slamming of lockers, Parker meets Coolidge. There is a beep instead of a bell. I can’t recall ever being so lost. Orange lockers and the Candy Store - ■« .,. Decisions, Intro, to Soc. and assigned studies Hurricane Gloria, the Space Shuttle exploded. It all became a part of us. Anyways, we were there.with mixed emotions. Fear and confusion, yet, Somehow mature. But not really. We forever watched the clock in anticipation of 2:08. As sophomores we said goodbye to Mr. D’Orlando and Hello to Dr. Piechota. Mrs. Burne adopted us, becoming our class advisor. Now we picked on freshmen. Class rings, semi - sweet 16, Bow Tie Day We climbed the ropes in Gym Our Semi - formal with the theme “Stand By Me As Juniors it seemed to us we were finally growing up. Free periods, cars, the Jukebox The Sk i Trip and Boston Garden Anything Goes (Almost) “Never Saying Goodbye to our Junior Prom And gaining another class advisor, Mrs. LeClaire. Then it came. Senior Year. We had so many expectations.®; College this, College that. SAT’S, STRESS! Senior Passes (like we didn’t leave before) The football team is in what place? “Reading Teachers are working with No Contract!” Halloween, Homecoming, and before we knew it, the Senior Prom. We crossed the bridges on the way to a new era, And burned them behind us. Oh, how the days went by so slow, it seemed as if 2:08 would never come. But the years went by so fast. And it will never be 2:08 again. — Karen Abate 7

Where Murphy s king for he is law things more amiss than ever he saw. If not for deadlines I would be a human being for all to see In chipper n happy form that’s all be I when knells the long waited call That frees my soul from copy and press now seeking rest from this harried mess. The pay’s been low and the hour’s been long the deadlines now met to a doleful song What Sartre said for all to see Hell’s other people rang true for me. But all now done and all now said yearbook’s here, I’m going to bed. — R. Donovan Commemoration 9
