SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY He who is determined has half his work done. The Class of '59, under the leadership of our class sponsors, Mrs. Herzog, Mr. Matre and Mr. Turner, be- gan its very prosperous Sophomore year with the election of officers. Joe Miller was elected to the presidency. Sandy Morari was chosen Vice-Presidentp Bob Heilman, Secretary, and Margo Hawks, Treasurer. The election of Karen Bradshaw, Myrna Young, Bob Felts and Joe Miller as our representatives to Student Council was also made in the first class meeting. Sergeants-at-Arms Tara Glorius and Jim Wade were appointed in a later meet- mg. In October, our prize-winning float, ridden by Janet Adams, our attendant to the Homecoming Queen, took the top award in the contest. Our greatest money-making proiect of the year was the selling of address labels in February and March. Other proiects, such as bake sales and paper drives also helped add to our treasury. The Mother's Club formed in our Freshman year was activated this year and has already proven a great help. Having completed a very successful Sophomore year we look forward eagerly to the challenges awaiting us in our third year here at Reading High School. I-le who is D ' I-las Holly His Womb Dow.
