Tl-IEJUNIOI-Z CLASS PIZOPHEQIEQ The date is September '23, 2000, it is a typical fall evening with orange and red leaves falling from the trees outside the Reading Community Building. The beautiful building is located in Heilmann Heights designed by that famous architect Chuck Heilmann, and the construction work was done by the Three S-C-H's who are Bob Schehr, Bob Schierloh and Chuck Schulz. The Class of 1958 has gathered for an alumni meeting. As always, the class is loafing around trying to think of something to do. Whoops! Who is this coming through the door? Why, I do declare it's Flirtacious Jean Foltz, Gabby Rose Glaser, and, of course, Ambitious Andy Frazier who is now retired from being Superintendent of R.H.S. Behind them are the two new janitors, Gerald Broom pusher Parsons and Ron Carpet-cleaner Cromer, carrying a SPACERVISION-TELETRONIC set which used to be known as TV. Gabby Glaser is going on about something or another. What's that you say? Lanky Len Hank, is on SPACERVISION tonight with his show Slim, Slim, World. Do tell. Let's tune it in. Well, there he is, Lanky Len! Hey! the picture's fading, another face appears. lt's Peaches Peters saying a few words about a new smelling stuff called, Cummins Cologne, manufactured by J.J. Cummins Company. And now back to 'Lanky' Len , says that famous announcer Babbling Don Becker. Today, says Len, we are going to go to another continent. We shall visit several American cities, and if we have time we shall visit our sister station on Mars during Slim, Slim, World. First, we'll go to the Alps. Look! Over to the left of the screen are two hunters. Hunters my eye! That's Jim Herbstreit and his training coach, Fred Volkens. Through the SPACERVISION Len talks with Jim and Fred. Len asks Jim what he is running for and what is he doing in the Alps. Fred interrupts and says that Jim is here for the Olympics. But, Jim contradicts him . What's this? ls that a letter Jim is holding? Jim speeds up his pace and yells, Go West, young man! Go West! Is that a moose on top of that mountain to the right of the screen? Yes, I think it is, or is it? No, it's Glenda Whiteaker. What could she be doing in the Alps? Lanky Len says that he has made contact with Hollywood. Yes, there is that beautiful Martin-Golden-Meyer Studio. Here come the three big wheels now, says Len. Let's stop and chat with them., Ron Golden tells us that the star of his latest speed-spinner CNO longer called hot-rod moviesj has just had an accident. Coming through the door we see that it is Reckless Gene Lang. Tom Martin interrupts Len. Tom says that Speedy Tom Stephens will take over Gene's place until he fully recovers. Dancing Dick Meyer enters the room with his latest star, Zo Zo Zimmer, better known as Sheila. Dick and Zo Zo are dis- cussing an argument that she recently had with her producer who is of course, Naughty Wayne Newberry. Zo Zo is due on the set in a few minutes and her make-up artists Lanolin Linda James ahd Elaine Hair-dresser Haddick are frantically trailing her. Tall Norma Ball rushes on the screen to clear the way for that fabulous film star Ralph Dimp1es Page and his leading lady Princess Grace Stephens whose only comment is It's getting a little Ranier. Our cameras switch to New York City, where Millionaire Jack Miller is opening his fifth night club. Bouncer Ben Bollmer says that it will be a rough night at the Club because those famous dancing stars Lucious Bonnie Landy and Cautious Kay Reisenberg will be present with their escorts Bashful Dave Bessey and Sporty Gary Stone, the new heavyweight champion of the world. Down south whip the cameras, where we enter Florida, home of the Nicely Numbsculls, that famous baseball team, There's Orv now, talking to that great pitcher, Colossal Claude Osteen. Catcher Stew Calhoun is being coached by that famous trainer, Mischievous Martha Nierman. ln the stands we see Bruiser Lesley Brune, that great lady wrestler and her opponent Vicious Joyce Veddern. Also in the stands we see that clever attorney Fearless Pat Flege and her client Dangerous Clifford Dixon. Wait! What is this? A home run over the left field fence, Paul Kramer is circling third. Manager John Mather speeds out to home plate in his fordicopter to shake hands with Klu Kramer. The SPACERVISION-TELETRONIC camera zooms to her sister station on Mars. After soaring through outer-space, too many miles to count, we faintly see a picture. Lanky Len says that many Americans travel back and forth from Mars daily. I heard that Susie's Helicopter Service is doing a booming business, managed by one of the first women to go to Mars, Susan A. Hester, who is floating in cash. There is the winner of that famous quiz program on Mars, 3565 Million-Dollar Question, Brainy Glen Bolser. When did he start studying? Hold it! Charlene Clerk Kretschmar, girl Thursday to the President of the Mars Station rushes to the scene. After whispering something to her boss who is Tedious Ralph Theis, the brilliant speaker makes an announce- ment. Ralph says thatJa ck Germ1ess Jeffries has just made a miracle medicine that will cure a disease which Ailing Nancy Asbrock and Neurotic Jo Ann Niehaus obtained while exploring a distant planet. This is truly an amazing discovery and it will certainly help the two girls when they make further explorations on distant planets. And so our time is up, speaks Leng surely some of you out there will never forget the class of 1957 and all the things that it has done to the world, or should l say for the world.
