Working closely with Dr. Ralph C. Geigle our superintendent of schools members of this administrative unit directed district policies within their respective departments and formulated special department proce- dures and practices essential to the efficient operation of the educational programs and related school activities in the Reading Pub- lic Schools. Furthermore by coordinating and corre- lating the various instructional programs activities, and special services within their respective departments and with other de- partments members of this administrative group made it possible for students to gain maximum educational benefits from the school district s comprehensive and progres- sive educational program. Aware of the ever-changing educational needs of the youths of today this group con- stantly studied and evaluated new trends in education and introduced effective new edu- cational measures and services as the need or needs arose.
