HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION The active physical education program at R. H. S. was supervised by our congenial depart- ment chairman, Mr. William Reese. After a professional demonstration of square dancing by Mr. Roland P. Kyle, Mrs. Janet Gorman, Miss Katherine E. Kaufmann, and Mr. Robert J. Perugini - another group ot the special co-ed gym class gets ready for its first experience in learning how to square dance. Health room supervision and general nursing activities at the Castle were copably supervisedby Mrs. Naomi O, Bridegam, R. N. Book learning in first aid was supplemented with actual demonstrations in Mrs. Elizabeth N. Ruhrman's health classes.

The psycho-physical devices used in Mr. Rob- ert Mattern's driver training classes enabled the students to check their distance judgment, depth preception, field of vision, glare reaction and night vision. LIBRARIANS Library instruction and supervision of library activities were handled by our efficient librari- ans, Mrs. Mary M. Heller and Miss Anna Stump. During the second semester, Mr. Richard Stott was appointed acting librarian during Miss Anna Stump's leave of absence.

OFFICE STAFF Administrators, teachers, students, and visi- tors benefited from the untiring efforts of the five energetic members of the general office staff. Clerical duties related to school records and activities, attendance supervision, operation of the new public address and telephone systems were but a few of the many duties performed by this staff., Activities of the staff this year were super- vised bv our newly appointed office manager, Mrs. Kathryn Wiest. Seated-Mrs Barbara A. Masley, Miss Vir- ginia L. Kocher, Miss Helen Pettis Standing-Miss Jean E. Swavely, Mrs. Kath- ryn Wiest . Mrs. Carrie Whitehead, custodian of books and supplies, supervised the distribution of approximately ten thousand textbooks to students of the Castle. JANITORIAL STAFF After another busy day, our head custodian, Mr. George S. K. Morris, relaxes briefly to enjoy an inter- esting article in the Red and Black . CAFETERIA STAFF Under the capable supervision of Mrs. J. Dettra, these cafeteria workers prepared and served ap- proximately eleven hundred meals daily to students and teachers of R. H. S.
