We 257700 We Anniversaries are important, They supply the motive to review the past and plan for the future. The 25 lOO Anniversary Year has done just that for the Castle folks We have looked back with pride on the achievements of the past, We have measured our growth and evaluated our progress. We have checked our goals and judged our worth, And we have planned for the future. You of '52 have had a full share in this unique observation and in the years to come will recall many ofthe events with pride and pleasure, You will remember the birthday cakes, the visit of Connie Mack, Homecoming, Open l-louse, the P, S, P. A. Convention, the Thespians, Distributive Education, and Business Educators Conferences, the State Band, the special assemblies, and a host of other events and occasions. Above all, you will re- member that yours was the class to graduate lOO years after Reading's first high school opened its doors, that yours was the class which graduated 25 years after the Castle was built. The parents of many of you were among the first students to walk the Castle halls, you have closed the auarter-cen- tury which they opened. You have completed their cycle. All your life you will be completing cycleseand beginning new ones, We know that you have com- pleted worthily the cycle of a quarter-century, we trust that you are prepared and inspired to begin new cycles of growth and achievement which you or your successors will complete in some future day, llll -v -n 5 v . si.
