H The traditions ol the medieval castle have carried over to modern times in many areas of human living just as it is our hope that the traditions of the Castle on the Hill will carry over into your lives tomorrow. Perhaps you havenit thought much about what the Castle has tried to do lor you through these three years but be assured that you have had experiences, have learned lessons, and have been exposed to stimuli all designed to influence your future living. Most ol these experiences, lessons, and stimuli have been deliberately planned For your benefit. A high school education is no longer a hit-or- miss proposition but is the result ol careful planning and thoughtful development. The Castle program has been conceived to malce you a better and happier citizen by preparing you for the adventure that lies ahead. We have been concerned not only with your mental growth but with your physical, social, and moral growth as well. We have tried to advance your vocational welfare, to expand your avocational interests, to broaden your viewpoints, to quiclqen your senses, to intensify your loyalties, to elevate your motives, and to deepen your emotions. lo the extent that we have succeeded, you will be a better citizen, a more loyal Friend, a happier individual, and a stronger character. As you go forth upon your quests, you will, as did the lcnights of old, bear the insignia ol' the Castle. May you be as proud ol that as the Castle is ol you. May that insignia challenge you always to live up to the best that is in you.
