Runyeon could see onIy the four towers pointing to the sI4y. She was so FiIIed with their beauty that she went to room IQO where she taught English, got pencil and paper, and standing by the window vvrote these inspiring Words. Later that same year Mr. Luther W. Ooodhart, the instructor of music at the castIe, wrote the meIody to this song through vvhich Reading I-Iigh SchooI students ever since have pIedged their devotion to their school.
