MARGARET YOST -A' TO THE CLHSS OF1943 -k As you leave the halls of your Alma Mater richer for the knowledge you have gained, the friendships you have found, the happy memories you now possess, and enter a World overshadowed by the gloom and depression of war, it is the sincere wish of your sponsors that you have the courage and spiritual strength to face the 'future with calmness and confidence. Hold fast to the knowledge that the disciplined life is bound to win. Remember that love is stronger than hate, faith greater than doubt. The Words of Louis Pasteur to some young people at the Sorbonne might well present a challenge to the class of 1943: Do not let yourselves be discouraged by the sadness of certain hours which pass over nations. Say to yourselves first: 'What have l done for my instruction? And as you gradually advance, 'What have I done for my country'?' until you may have the immense happiness of thinking that you have contributed in some way to the progress and good of humanity.
