poems she used to write in school. I-Iere' s the trail of Betty Cunningham now a graduate of West Virginia Business College. She has taken her older sister's position as Mr. T. B. Cain's secretary. She attended WVBC for 3 years and now proves herself to be very well trained and skilled. Ha! ........ Clara Mae Mason Bucher is the head nurse in the State's largest hospital--Reader Memorial Hospital. She was trained in Wheeling: Her daily column, Maintaining Your Hea1th , appears in the leading papers of the country. Mary Vay Starkey, world famous pianist, is now making personal appearances in-New York's Carnegie Hall. With her soprano voice, she is coming along well in radio and television broadcasts. Her next appearance will be in Paris. Rona Norris finally made her landing in the Washington Theatre on Capitol Stre'et in Reader. There you can see her in the snake dance which she brought back again. After marrying she gave up her job as stewardess for the Kocher airlines. Where am I? ....... Why, this miserable map! ......... I see myself in my old school helmet again, I will not look closer to see what I am doing. Fold the old thing up and put it away and board the R. H. S. of '52 once again for our different destinations. Class Poem of 1952 There's sixteen in ourclass Each a lucky lad or lass, We've worked hard to get to the end Now that we're through our life will begin. Clara Mae, who lives across the creek, Sees Nick every night of the week, We're sure she'11 go a long way in life And make some man a loving wife. There is Reva, who knows lots of men, But a special one whose name is Ken, She's also the youngest of our class And indeed a very pretty lass. Rona, who lives on Eight Mile, Has never forgotten how to smile-- And whenever there's a boy in sight You'l1 see her eyes begin to light. Wilda, who comes from Mexico, Out with Delano she's bound to gog When he isn't looking she sure does flirt With anybody who wears a shirt, Now Wilma has gotten herself engaged That's nothing for. that is the rageg Too bad Keith doesn't have a big brother Cause twins shou1dn't be parted from one another. Senior Class Prophecy Here we have a map of the air trails and airports of the earth dated twenty years from now. An opportune find since our class expects of us five wise words of foretelling. Let us spread it out here and see if we can find the landing place of everyone of the six- teen Seniors who are soon to take off this flight out into the world. H mmmmmmm .... there comes the plane which took its flight Z0 years ago--the R. H. S. of '52, Ah, yes, here is Eleanor Daugherty who is a chemist at the big chemical plant at Porters Falls District. She has received her M. A. degree from West Virginia University. She is extremely skilled and plans to retire in ten years with a mere S500 a month. Where did the Wildman twins land? Ah, here they are. They still look a good deal alike, but I learn that their names have changed. They are now Mrs. Keith Butler and Mrs. Delano. Daugherty. Wilma is a very lovable and charming wife with a mere family of two sets of twins ---- all girls. Keith now manages a large business office for Weirton Steel with her help. As for Wilda, when the great director, Delano Daugherty, saw her performance in our Senior play Mother-ln-Law-Blues , he was greatly impressed by her talent for acting and took her to Hollywood to put her in the movies. She later became his bride. And here is the trail of Max Kocher! He owns the large airport and the Kocher Hotel in the upper end of Reader. He married a beautiful night club ballet dancer and singer. The Kochers are a family of five---Max jr., Cornesia, Donna Marie, plus Mama and Papa. Gladys Cannon? Hm ---- it is still Cannon. She is very efficiently operating the switch- board in Reader Tel 8: Tel. She will become the main operator and have ten subordinates in 7 months. She was trained in Wheeling. Alas! Shirley lce is President of Reader Tel 8: Tel. He has made it a very prosperous business and he also serves on the Board of Education, and has been justice of the Peace in Reader for 13 years. j. B. Haught after cruising around the world three times, finally ended his flights in Reader, and has become the head of one of the city' s leading firms. You cannot go down Main Street without seeing the sign Haught' s Department Store . The former Higgins grocery store is now a large department store and covers one acre of ground. There is the new city auditorium where Raymond Stackpole is giving an interesting lecture on Lower Taxes and Salary Reductions in the Government . He is running for the Senate next month. We feel he will be very efficient in Congress because we well re- member the ability to debate he displayed in American Government Class Acting as his secretary is Violet Fankhouser. She started a kindergarten in Reader School. We remember how well she conducted the elementary grade classes back in '52 when some of the teachers were absent. Her ability as secretary is helping Raymond plan his campaign speeches. Here is the Reader High School! That is the place we spent many of our happiest days. How it has changed! It is at least four times larger than when we graduated. Oh, yes, here is Louise Griffith, the only old-maid teacher Reader High School has. So you thought she'd be sure to catch a man? But she's turned out to be an English teacher, and she really makes the school-kids work. Where did Dollie Crane take her flight? Oh, yes, she finally married one of her soldier friends to whom she used to write. He is now a five star general. Mrs. Weisenburg is traveling all over the world with her husband. He was formerly stationed in japan, but is now retired from active duty. Sure enough, Reva Haught has become a poet. Her poems are mostly about France and the French people. Why? Simply because her husband, jules Verne, has taken her to France where they have lived for 15 years. Her inclination to write poetry was displayed in the 12

Gladys is always charming and gay She giggles from morning 'till end of day, She has a good time wherever she goes But some how can't seem to keep a beau. And there's j. B. the oldest one We all think he's lots of fun, From Uncle Sam he got a call He is going to be missed by us all. Now there's Raymond tall and thin His black hair stands right on endg He likes to quarrel that's for sure And for this there is no-cure. Max is the tall and handsome lad, It takes a lot to get him mad, He's the apple of many a girl's eye For the girls really think he's a wonderful Next is Shirley, happy and free Cutest guy I ever did see, He thinks he can drive a Chevrolet And all the time just herds away. Next is Dollie so happy and gay We think she'1l be in the opera somedayg She writes to soldiers all over the land, Perhaps someday she'll find her a man. Louise, valedictorian of our class, Is a very quiet little lass, She hails from Piney several miles away, But she seldom ever missed a day. Eleanor, a girl who's really a whiz, Makes a good grade on a Chemistry quizg In our home room she has lots of fun Throwing books and making the boys run. Violet, who comes from Money Hill, Spends all her time writing to Bill, She has eyes of grey, hair of brown, But you seldom ever see her frown. Betty Ruth is tall and thin Always full of vigor and vim, Hair of blonde that curls on the ends And she always has lots of friends.
