END OF wma MESSAGE Any time there is an attempt at praise, we are likely to overlook assignment of credit due. With no in- tention of making that mistake, we want to express sincere thanks to the personnel of the Portsmouth Navy Yard who designed and built this boat, those respon- sible for design, manufacture, and procurement of her appurtenances, and those whose research improved our tactics and equipment so as to keep us well ahead of the enemy. The Razorback is a beautiful piece of fighting machinery. My hat is off to the reserve officers and men who so ably fought this war, At no time have I seen any friction between reserves and regulars on this ship. ln fact, both have rather lost their identity in the close- knit organization, fellowship, and cooperation that is so necessary in this branch of the service. It has been with deep. regret that l have watched a high cali- bre crew broken up by demobilization.
