MORRIS O'CONNOR EPPINETTE Captain LIVINGSTON Co-Captain COX Fans saw Holly Ridge down Rayville for the first time when they scored and then made the extra point. 6-'7 Bastrop took the lead in the first quarter but the Hor- nets pulled ahead in third when O'Connor scored and kicked the extra point. The Rams scored again in the last quarter but only after Rayville had made another COENEN touchdown. 13-12 The Hornets dropped their first Conference game when they went to Lake Providence. The Hornets failed to score on the muddy field while the Panthers scored in the second quarter and later tackled Hunter in the end zone for a safety. 0-8 The game against Winnsboro was a close one, and tied until the last quarter when O'Connor's pass to Cox settled the score in Rayville's favor. 12-6 LOWERY With only one victory the Hornets went to Oak Grove determined to win. The Hornets played hard using every player and won. 45-0 After Tallulah scored three times in the first quarter and again in the second, Rayville scored their only touch- down in the second quarter. GREEN LELLIS lp A Miu.5.J1 MA YO , The Delhi Bears scored in the first few minutes of the game when they returned the kickoff. The Hornets scored their only time when O'Connor passed to Eppinette. The extra point was no good. The Bears scored several more times. 6-38 Even though the Hornets led the Horne- coming game at the half the Plain Dealing boys came out the victors. 7-37 With Eppinette doing some fine blocking and the rest of the team playing good ball, the Hornets came out from behind in the last half to take the ballgame from the Fer- riday Bulldogs. 33-27 Rayville failed to score although they got within Tiger territory four times, while the Tigers Scored five times. 0-34 Rayville played good ball against Mang- ham, but they just couldn't seem to hit pay dirt but once.
