The 1978 South Junior 8th Grade Football team members gained a lot of valuable experience in their 2 and 3 season. Mistakes were costly, but their effort was good. Volleyball team had the best record of any girls J.V. team to date. Their season of 8 wins and 2 losses produced 4 J.V. team records: 1. Most aces in one season - 46 2. Most spikes in one season - 69 3. Most spikes in one match - 19 4. Longest winning streak - 5 games I As many of the J.V. team members arc 8th graders, the possibility of a good varsity team next year is most probable.
