They lost two early season games to Raytown by 1 and 2 points but came on in the season to defeat Raytown by 8 and 13 points. They also won first place for the third year in a row at the Raytown South Center South Alternating Tournament. This team should do very well as Freshmen. Page 101

In two years,the team set the following records: 1. Undefeated in 8th grade (15 - 0) 2. Undefeated in 9th grade (17 - 0) 3. Undefeated in 8th and 9th (32 - 0) 4. Scored most points in a single game in 8th (85) 5. Scored most points in a single game in 9th (98) 6. Best team scoring average in 8th (68.13 to 29.73) 7. Best team scoring average in 9th (73.76 to 40.71) To add to these impressive records. South's freshmen won both the Pittman and Raytown Tournaments for the second year in a row. When this year’s undefeated team joins forces with last year's 16 - 1 This year's Freshman team add two more tropics to the trophy case. Page 100
