National Activities Week National Activities Week, held from October 15 through October 19, enabled students to par- ticipate in many activities throughout the school. There was a breakdance competition held after school in the gym, a fun run for students and facul- ty and a continental breakfast was served for club presidents during first hour. The big event of the week was a tug of war contest with each fourth hour class providing a team. South Gets Psyched I . u '. 1 I A N . ' x ?f?7i l.l 24 A The pep band relaxes after their performance. Every year the cheerleaders and yell leaders put on a pep rally the afternoon of the foot- ball game against South's rival Raytown. This year's theme was taken from the popular song Ghostbusters and was in- serted with JAYBUSTERS. A game of Simon Says was played to get the players psyched up. The traditional two bits cheer concluded the pep rally. STUDENT LIFE f 25
