VMr. Hake, the fearless leader!!! si. kan X I ix On November 17-18, as the crowd settled in, the lights dimmed, and the curtain opened, David and Lisa became part of Ray South theatrical history. With a cast of twenty-two and Tina Anello as stu- dent director, several months of work and prepara- tion went into our fall production, which was the last under the direction of Mrs. Cole. From the first day of rehearsal to the final curtain call, David and Lisa proved successful in keeping with tradition of the Ray South stage. Debbie Morales and Brian Garbett put on the finishing touches before the show starts? Barbara, played by Susan Scott, doesn't seem to be getting through to her students, Steffen Funk, Robin Masters, Mike Stark, Julie Johnson, and Michelle Col- lins. V Following the tradition at Raytown South, five organizations, Girls' Varsity Basketball, Boys' Varsity Basketball, Swimming, Wrestling and Key Club, each nominated one girl for the can didacy of Winter Homecoming Queen. This winter's five can- didates were: Dana McNutt, Kendra Melton, Gayle Myers, Athena Rodenbaugh and Julie Stewart. Kendra received the crown from the returning 1983 queen, Kay Beth Rendek, during halftime of the Feb. 10 basketball game.
