When she visits a state, she especially likes to tour the state capitals. She has toured every state in the Union except Hawaii. While touring Honduras and Guatamala, Mrs. Garvin heard some marim- ba bands and says they played the , most wonderful music I ever heard in my life. Mrs. Garvin entertains sweet memories of a small town in Kansas where she ,grew up. After receiving her degree at Kansas University, Mrs. Garvin took her graduate study at Columbia University.
