The programs were usually conducted in French by the students. They turned to Paris and France in general for inspiration. One program featured slides of Paris scenery. The theme of the Christmas party was A Province in France. Buche de Noel, a tasty French pastry, was served. This spring, representatives from other Kansas City clubs came to Raytownto exchange ideas for new activities. , I X I Darley-vous francais? Latin Club Attends Regional Convention Carroll Ann Shelton, Joyce Brown, Bob Osborn, Lois Tienken, Betty Bockelman, and Mary Howard enjoy their Christmas party. At the regional convention of the Junior Classical League, held at Southeast High School, the Raytown Latin Club presented a skit entitled, Camilius and the School- master. The Ave Maria, a prayer in Latin, was sung by Kathy McCarthy at one of the club's regular meetings, As a fund raising project, members sold Blue Jay book- covers. The money they raised was used for club activities such as the adoption of a needy family at Christmas time and for various other projects . Halloween and Christmas parties and aschool-endpicnic in May filledthe club's social program.
