V , . ' - ,ww ,I EN The fifty-four representatives or al- ternates of the Student Council met twice each month to plan student activities and to promote student-faculty co-operation. To acquaint the student body with the workings of the Council, the minutes of each meeting were read over the intercom. In addition to bringing a Foreign Ex- change Student to Raytown for next year, plans were made to send a Raytown student abroad. A Safety Committee was appointed with Klaus Gottschalk as chairman to study traffic accidents and teen-age driving habits. Library Club Staffs School Library The Library Club promotes reading among the student body through the use of a bulletin board which advertises the new books as they arrive. Members Work in the library before and after school and during the day. In this manner they earn points toward a school letter which is given at the end of each year, To help students use the library to the best advantage is one of their goals, Returning books to the shelves are Charlotte Tyson, Barbara Bennett, and Miss Oberzan.
