Kathyis reaction was one of complete surprise, just as any girl's would have been had they been bestowed this honor. During her four years at Ray-Pec, Kathy has been active in activities. For three years she has been involved in basketball and volleyball in which she was all conference her junior and senior year. She also participated on the track team for one year. Academically, Kathy served as president of the N.H.S. and as the editor of the literary magazine the Apocalypse. She also was active in the Varsity Club and F.L.C. Kathy also was chosen her senior year for Whois Who in American High School Students . Kathy quoted her post-graduation plans as going to college at Avila for a nursing degree and then to marry and have children. ThemelB l

One of the most popular was Photography. The be- ginning photographer learns how to take e pictures, print contact sheets and devel- j op pictures. ; A new class to the Art Department is 1 Pottery. Basic fundamentals like throw- ing on the wheel and hand building are taught so the student can make same- thing in which they prefer. Business classes still take in quite a few of the people and the Family Relations class is still a favorite. 0 Chris Hammack, the seam- tress.
