The I980 Panthers compiled a 9-2 record which included the Panthers first West Central Conference Championship and a District Championship. The Panthers only losses were to Lex- ingtion. who eventually tied for the Class AA state Champion- ship and O'hara. who in the state quarter-finals eventually captured the Class AAA state crown. The highlight of the Panther's season was back to back victories over Harrisonville for the Conference'Championship and for the District 7C Championship.
