On November 20 8 2l, after weeks and weeks of practice and planning the musi- cal, South Pacific, was put on at the Pecu- liar Elementary School. The production in- volved over sixty students altogether and was shown to audiences totaling around 700. Ron Branan, the speech and theater in- tructor, directed the musical this year with the help of Connie Chaffin, student Director. Steve Orr and Rod Young di- rected the chorus and the band, respec- tively. South Pacific was one of the most suc- cessful musicals ever performed here at Ray-Pec.
