Joni Harper, Jill Davenport D The faculty kazoo band performs at the NHS Bong Show. 30 The new members of National Honor Society attend the induction ceremony. 4T The NHS members attend the Christmas Party and collect toys for the children at St. Luke's Hospital. The National Honor Society started off the year with their Induction Ceremony on September l8. They held two money making projects this year which included selling Christmas gifts and presenting a Bong Show. The money was used for a Christmas party, honor breakfast and two Seniors were awarded scholarships. The honor breakfast was a party given for any student who made principals honor role for 3 quarters, present NHS mem- bers and any future NHS members. V The Home Economics Club was affiliated with the Future Home- makers of America this year. The 34 members helped with the Drama Department in the produc- tion of The Sunshine Boys . This production was a dinner playhouse. Home Ec. club prepared the food and served it before the play. Also, in March they attended the Home Show in Bartle Hall and spon- sored the Sweetheart Dance. They got the student body fruit juice machines and with money in the treasury they bOught a stereo system to use whenever it might be need- ed. A Balloon Contest was held as a money-raiser. Balloons were sent off with a student's name on them and whoever found them was to send them back. The person's baloon that traveled the far- theSt received a steak dinner for two. 2.
