Semor Claes Prophecy Look1ng through the permscope of the future we can predrct what has happen ed to the class of 52 Start1ng from Raymond rn our 1962 Cadlllac convertlble we headed for Lambert Fxeld rn St Lou1s to trade our Cad1llac for an a1rplane Vhlle spend1ng our exemno 1n St Loums we went to the Paradlse Nlght Club for lunch As we opened the door of the nlght club nmucn to our surprmse there stood Lou1se Kolkhorst the hat check g1rl wamtxng wrth enthuslasm to check our coats To escort us to a table and take our order was the br1ght sh1n1ng face ofNfTl'tUr1 VK est Much to our dellght our even1ng of enterta1nment was presented by the most famous tap dancer of her t1me the former D1x1e Cvllbert Checkxng 1n at a hotel that evemng we rece1ved another surprxse as Robert Bugg the bell hop es orted us to our room The next mornlng we went to Lambert A1rport to trade our car for an alrplane After we made our trade we dec1ded to hxre a prlot as nelther of us knew anythlng about p1lot1ng 1 plane Our p1lot was the one and only Lt Jack Cooler VK h1le wart 1ng for our plane to be checked before the take off we found that the mechanlc was Bobby House Almost all planes have a stewardess and our stewardess was V1rg1n1a Todt Now we were ready for the take off Our p1lot brought us to a safe land1ng at Lackland A1r Base ln Texas V1s1t1ng the Mess Hall we saw Dean Ogden and Jack Wagahoff on K P We had a very enjoyable conversatxon wlth them They told us that Joyce Beatty Anne Smlth and Meta Rose Janssen were WAFS and that they were stat1oned there at Lackland too After we looked them up and talked w1th them a whule lt was txme to board our plane When we went back to the plane you d never guess who was dolng the refuehng Job It was none other than Kelth Brachear We were now on clr w ay to Callforrna where NVQ were to spend the everunv at the Hollywood Canteen n1ght club The show that nlght was to be The Srngln Three whlch conslsted of Joann St1llahn Zeal Zlmmerman and Mary Lebeck w1th Joyce Benmng as p1an1st Chattmng w1th them backstage after the1r performance we were mformed that Rudolph Valentmo better known to us as Rudolph Casolarl was the owner of the nlght club Joann also told us that Dolores Hoffman was a head nurse at an Army Hosp1tal mn Callforma We took an hour or so to look her up and sure enough It was the Dolores Hoffman we knew From Cal1forn1a we contmnued our fl1ght onward to Nragara Falls Vlh1le we were uewxng the beautxful sxghts we rece1ved a shocmno surprlse when we saw Kenny Tucker and Pat Hjort lt confused us as to what they were do1n0 here K wonder Our next destmatlon was XX ashmngton D C Upon our arr1val at the Whlte House Dale Glesekmg greeted us as the head guard He told us to be sure to go mto the Presxdent s off1ce as Marglret Luttrell was the prxvate secretary to the Presldent 'Vlargaret was enjoymg her work very much and told us not to m1ss the Llbrary of Convress because there wer some of our frlends employed there Sure enough the lxorarlan was none other than Jean Lynch Vkhrle we were there Jean lntroduced us to the new author of the most famous d1ct1onary of all tlmes James Huber Jlm also told us th xt Dorothy Schund the former Dorothy Brune was now llvlng 1n an 1rrny carnp near by 0 sa ' 1- - ,, V . 5 - 1 L Q . - , D . 1 , 1 , - . . . f . , . 1 . Semor Class Hlstory On September flrst 1948 a group of forty boys and gurls enrolled at R H S On September smxteenth we had our f1r-st meet1ng of the year and elected Jack Cooler the class presmdent The other off1cers were Lorena Schum v1ce presxdent J1m Huber Secretary Treasurer Kenny Tucker and Pat Hjort the Student Councxl members Our class sponsor was lVlr Schroeder Durmg the year we lost three of our classmates Dorxs Day Dale Jackson and Paul Janssen One new student Sh1rley Thacker Joln ed us makmg a total of th1rty exght students to f1n1sh the Freshman year Our class also had the honor of hav1ng Pat Hjort as cheerleader On August Z9 1949 th1rty s1x members of the Freshman Class enroll d Three of our classmates d1d not enroll for the Sophomore year They were Donald Thunhorst Wanda 1VlcGloth11n and Harry Remman VK e had one new mc mber Margaret Luttrell The Class ofhcers were as follows Presldent Kelth Brachear VICQ pres1dent Jack Cooler Secretary treasurer Bob House Reporter Jo Inn Stlllahn and the Student Counc1l members were Kenny lucker and Loreni Schum Mr Jones and Mr Weas were our class xdvrsors Durmgs the ye ar we lost two students John Everhn and Tony Krager Ofhcers were Pres1dent D1leG1esek1ng Vxce pres1dent Dolores Hoffman Secretary treasurer 14011156 Kolkhorst and Reporter lV11lton West The Student Councll members were Joyce Bennlng and Kenny Tucker Our sponsors were 1VIr Jones and Mrs Su1ts The Jun1or Sen1or Banquet was held at Taylor vxlle Patrlcla Hjort honored our class aga1n by becommg cheerleader On September fourth 1951 the twenty e1ght Sen1ors who enrolled knew that the1r tune 1n R H S was growmg short The class offlcers were Kelth Brachear Pre xdent Zeal Zlmvnerrnan Vxce presxdent Joyce Bennlng Secretary treasurer and V1rg1n1a Todt Reporter Jean Lynch and Dale Cnesekmp are the Student Councml members Our class sponsors are Mr Mullen and Mr Crum Vlrglnla Todt became a cheerleader thls year Durlng our days at Raymond H1gh School many of our Senlor boys and g,1rls have part1c1pated 1n the rn any school orgxn1zat1ons all thexr four years We are proud to have menubers of our class 1n the C1 A A F H A F F A Band Chorus Dance Band Spam-sh and I..at1n Clubs Spothght Ra Co H1 Basketball Baseball and track I O J . . .
