l Track The track team opened the season by defeahng Morr1sonv1lle and Farmersv1l1e mn a trmangular meet They also defeated Nokom1s xn a dual meet and placed second ln two trlangular meets agamst K1nca1d and Morr1sonv1lle and agamst Taylorv1lle and Hrllsboro In the C M S the team placed second to Dwernon by 4- 1f2 pomts They hmshed th1rd m the Pane. open and second 1n the M1dp1a1ns meet The season closed with the dlstrmct meet rn wh1ch the team earned 7 pomts Top 1nd1v1dual honors went to G Kates who was always a h1gh polnt maker 1n the 100 220 4-40 broadJump1ng and relay By w1nn1ng the 44-0 at the d1str1ct Kates was able to compete 1n the State meet for the second t1me Maurlce Hjort was also a conslstent pomt maker compet mg ln the low hurdles dnscus shot put lngh jump and relay 8 Baseball Prospects for a winmng baseball team seemed good wlth forty four boys reportmg for the squad Twenty four remamed on the squad for the trxp to Ball Townsh1p to open the season on Fnday September 16th Bes1des regular season games a Freshman Sophomore game was scheduled for the Zlst of September wlth Stomngton Raymond won four games and lost fwe Z3 f -4.
