McCabe, M. Bartlett, Coach Martin. Even though Raymond's first 2 girls - Nadine McDonald and Tammie Margaritis - were injured for much of the season, the Girl's Cross-Country Team still had an impressive record. The Rams lost only to Dover and Exeter during the season, successfully defended their Central M Conference crown and placed a very respectable third in the N.H. Class I, M, and S State Finals. the team will greatly miss the leadership and determination provided by senior Loretta Morrill, but with the rest of the team returning, 1977 could be the finest year in Raymond's brief history of Girl's Cross-Country.

FOURTH ROW: Coach LT Martin, M. Lessard, I. Paquette, Manager, E. Daniels. After losing four of last year's top point scorers to graduation, the 1977 Winter Track Team was supposed t be a rebuilding one. However, even though 95070 of the team was sophomores or juniors, the youg Rams rose t the occasion by posting an 8-6 wfl record and a third place finish in State Class I Championships. Two schoo records fell as Gene Stockel bested the high hurdle mark by running the barriers in 8. 5 seconds and Deane Geli nas broke his own 2 mile record by running the 20 laps in 10 minutes, 6.3 seconds. However the highlights o the season occurred in the teams last meet as six Raymond Trackmen, Tom Perkins, Deane Gelinas, Tom Mor rill, Gene Stockel, Bob Boynton, and Pete Taylor represented their school and state in the Northern New Eng land Championships held at Dartmouth College. The teams only senior, Bill Broderick our high jumper, will b greatly missed , but with everyone else returning, next year's foes had better be ready for a tough fight!
