Konigsberger. , Semonzs Beginning their high school career as Itty Bitty freshmen, the class of 1968 elected John McDowell for president, John Rosen- tangle, vice-president, Dianna Dixon, secretary, Marilyn Smith, treasurer, Georgia Halpin, yell queen,Greg Walker, yell king,Gary Wrona, student council representative, Marla Elcher and Brad Beck, interclass rivalry. The Frosh had a successful season by winning championships in both football and basketball. Advisers were Mr. and Mrs. Gill, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Mulhall, and Mr. Knobel. Continuing as Silly, Silly sophomores, the class elected Brad Beck as its president, Gary Wrona, vice-president, Andy Rosen- tangle, secretary, Judy Allison, treasurer, Kathy Capps, yell queen, Jeff Nevitt, yell king, Georgia Halpin, student council representative, Maureen Millican and John Rosentangle, interclass rivalry. Under the supervision of Mr. Gates, Mr. Ball, Mrs. Melberg, Mr. Forsman, the class presented their Sophomore Hop on December 29. The theme was Holiday a Go-Go with music provided by the Beachcombers. Making the A squad basketball team were Gary Wrona and John Rosentangle, and in football Dave Cardwell, John Wood, Dick Vetter, Ron Ragan, John Adams, and Gary Wrona made the team. Reaching the level of upperclassmen, the Jolly J olly juniors elected officers were John Rosentangle, president,Maureen Millican, vice-president, Debbie DeCoite, secretary, Melody Kochopolus, treasurer, Dianna Dixon, yell queen, John Batchelor, yell king, Andy Rosentangle and Georgia Halpin, student council representative, Judy Allison and Brad Beck, interclass rivalry. Advisers for the year were Mr. West, Mr. Vadset, Mrs. Williams, and Mr. Lee. Gary Wrona was elected student body vice-president. Going to Girls' State were Toni Weathers and Nancy Borovec. John Rosen- tangle and Gary Wrona, varsity basketball players, represented Raymond at Boys' State. Seabeck delegates were Marilyn Smith and John Rosentangle. Dick Vetter went to the National Conference of Student Body Presidents in Abington, Pennsylvania. A musical, Girls Will Be Girls, sponsored by the juniors May 5, drew a large crowd. Through the Looking Glassi' was the theme of the Junior-Senior Ball held on April 15 at the Elks Temple. Music was by the Associated Press. Kathy Capps was crowned princess and Gary Wrona was crowned prince. Moving to their desired senior section in the auditorium, the Mighty,' seniors looked forward to a profitable year. Under the leadership of Mr. Holmes, Mrs. Denney, Mr. Bach, Mr. Vadset, and Mr. Anderson, the class elected Judy Allison as its president, Mike Jarmin, vice-president, Marilyn Smith, secretary, Terri Westerback, treasurer, Maureen Millican, yell queen, John Wood, yell king, Toni Weathers and Gary Wrona, student council representatives, John Rosentangle and Barbara Dunsmoor, interclass rivalry. Football awards were presented to Karl Lundquist, Offensive Lineman, Gary Wrona, Honorary Captain and Inspirational Award, Ron Seehafer, Coaches Award, Pete Roberts, Defensive Lineman Award and Outstanding Player Award. Basketball season brought the 1968 Gulls to place third in the State A Tournament. John Rosentangle received the Inspirational Award, Tim Tobiason and Gary Wrona returned in basketball. Wrestling season proved to be quite a sport as John Hampton captured the Captain's Award. Football homecoming royalty were Nancy Hoffer, queen, Judy Allison and Maureen Mlllican, princesses. Barbara Dunsmoor was crowned basketball homecoming queen with her court Marilyn Smith and Nancy Borovec as princesses. Georgia Halpin and Andy Rosentangle represented the school as pep staff members. Curtain Going Up, an all high school play, was presented by the senior class on November 17. Land of the Lotus Blossoms was the theme of the Junior-Senior Ball held at the Elks Temple on May 18. Senior honor students included Judy Allison, Brad Beck, Nancy Borovec, Brian Brown, Cathy Davidson, Connie Davies, Nadine Dodd, Georgia Halpin, Nancy Hoffer, Karl Lundquist, Andy Rosentangle, Sandra Sedy, Marilyn Smith, Pete Scrumski, and Dick Vetter. On May 29 the class of '68 completed their high school careers by receiving their diplomas at Commencement, May 29. The alumni were honored by the junior class at a Junior-Senior Breakfast. The Class Day Exercises followed and for the last time the class gave its yell.
