faaketball In a season as up-and-down as the back hills of Kaintucky, the Seagulls finally broke even to win fifth place in the Southwest Washington Conference. With John Millam totin' the coachin' job in his first year at R. H. S., the squad came thru with ll games won and ll games lost. Big Bill Hoffer topped the scoring list with 100 points for the season, while Ralph Stark and Merle Hall were tied for second place with 97 points each. Don Cooper, cool headed and reliable senior, was elected Captain and Hoffer was elected ln- spirational Player by his teammates. Ernie Humphrey, Doug Runyon and Leonard Burley played bang-up ball in their last year at Raymond High. With such stars as Hall, Bridges, Miller, Stark, and Hoffer back next year, it looks like a tough time ahead for our rivals.
