The atmosphere was tense, the emotions ran higl and the spirit was enormous on Homecoming nighl The ten girls and their escorts lined up on the fiel and the crowd waited impatiently - the crownin of the Homecoming Queen was under way. Andrea Habib, head cheerleader, was crowned thi year's reigning queen. Laura De La Garza was ar nounced first runner-up, Belinda Bayarena, secon runner-upg Andrea Alvarez, third runner-up, an Margaret Oliveira, fourth runner-up. Tears flowed freely, and laughs of joy resounde through the excited crowd. The Homecoming Danc followed with decorations such as bales of hay o the dance floor, gingham tablecloths, and streamer emphasizing the theme, Texan Round-up, Old an New. It was a special night, and special nights ar never forgotten.
