A better buy at the MORGAN PHARMACY. We, the seniors of nineteen hundred and fifty three, are very proud of our four-year record in Rawlins High School. We feel that we have accomplished a great deal of what we started out to do when just freshman, four years ago. It all seems like a strange and wonderful dream when we remember our freshman year. We were all so eager to make a good impression and to do something for ourselves and the school. Among the things we did as freshman were to enter a float in the Outlaw Day Parade, sponsor a dance called The Cinderella Ball”, and our class picnic. For our officers for this year we chose Ann Scarlett, Danny Holloway, Clarice Hunter, and Marian Lander. Our sophomore year was a little less exciting but none the less we had a lot of fun. We gave the freshman class a dance called Dreamers Holiday which was a huge success. We entered another float in the Parade this year, had a picnic and brought another year to a close. Bill Salisbury was our president assisted by Bill Romero, Marian Lander, and Merlene Terrill. With our junior year started our career as upper-classmen. All year we busily prepared for our prom. Our Merry-Go-Round Float took first in the Parade this year which gave our class much pride. When spring came we gave our prom for the senior class. It was centered around the theme of Garden In The Rain . Eleanor Hays was chosen as our Prom Queen. And all in all, our Junior year was much a success. Bill Salisbury was elected as our president again this year. He was assisted by Ralph Kmetz, Betsy McKay, and Eleanor Hays. And now, that our senior year is upon us, we look back on all that we have done this year with satisfaction. Our able student body president, Ann Scarlett, has led the Student Council wisely and well and has done a great deal for the betterment of the Council. The Student Council printed a student hand book which is to be distributed in the following years. Our float took first again this year which was a perfect goal for last year in High School. We had a senior party at the Flame Room for seniors and their guests. The Juniors honored us at their May Day Dance where Frances Hatch was crowned queen. Then last, but certainly not least was our Commencement. We climaxed this gala evening with a progressive party after our graduation. We leave with the hope that we have left a good and lasting memory to all those who still remain in the cherished walls of R. H. S. CLASS HISTORY
