0 nacipa I Thim year we welcome into our school a new principal, William E. Schwiering. He replaced H. H. Moyer, who last year retired from his position as principal. Bill’ Schwiering attended Marque t te Vniversity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin receiving a B. S . degree from there. He also received a M.S. degree from the University of Wyoming, and has done one Year's work on his P.H.D. degree. Before coming here he taught in the Saratoga school system for three years, was principal there for five years, and superintendent there for two years. The next three years he spent as Petroleum Engineer at the refinery in Sinclair. The effects of Mr. Schwiering's fine work have shown t hems elves already. The Student Council is very active this year and has more power than ever before. A Clean-up Week' ridded the school of untidy lockers and halls. Chronic absentees have been halted. He is known especial ly for his fair-and square dealing with all students and student prob 1 ems. This is, however, just the beginning for Mr. Schwiering. He plans to increase the power of the Student Council until they have complete control of school activities. He is very much in favor of wel1-planned assemblies and student activities of all kinds. By joint meetings of Student Council and teachers he is forwarding teacher-student relations. We know Mr. Schwiering will be successful in all ventures he might under take, and we wish him all the luck possible for the future. 7

Superintendent Mr. Robert B. Lee haa been the able head of our school system for the past 20 years. His assistance has been very gratefully recognized by all the classes, organizations, and persons within the school, and also by the public, creating in them a very avid enthusiasm in school activities. Hr. Lee haa spurred the desire for higher standards in R. H. S. from the begin-ing. He has been very successful1 in doing so and we hope he will be even more so in years to come.
