Outlaw Corral Staff... Outlaw Corral Rawlins High has had a school paper since 1921. The paper we first issued under the name of “THE EXHAUST.” In February 1940 the students voted to change the name of the paper to something pertaining to the theme of R. H. S.; the bucking bronc or the Outlaw Horse. Thus the paper was crowned “The Outlaw Corral.” This year the paper has been going to press under the able guidance of Miss Insley, although the staff has been gradually diminishing. Murray Daniels, exchange editor, is now a student of the Specialized Training Division at Colorado State College; Sarah Jane Erickson, literary editor, completed her course in high school to take a position in a downtown office; and Kenneth Madsen, interview editor, is also at Colorado State College participating in the Specialized Training. After 22 years the school paper is definitely a part of R. H. S. and should develop with the school into a larger and finer bulletin—one that can never be broken down!! Roundup ♦ ♦ ♦ The “Roundup” During the course of this year, the “ROUNDUP” staft under the direction of Miss Insley, has strived to make this annual of ours, a treasure to hold permanently. We have tried to catch the spirit of Rawlins High. Packed between these covers are the pictures of your friends—pictures of the fun you had and where you had it—your picture—your triumph and failure. Rawlins High School life assumed a new serious tone as we, the high school students geared ourselves for war. We hope that the 1944 Roundup will do more than present a summary of the year's events, and that it will recreate in your memories a vivid picture of this highly significant year.
