Honorary Awards... Senior Scholastic Honors The two Seniors ranking first and second in the scholastic standing of their class this year are Lucille Parker, Valedictorian and Kenneth Madsen, Salutatorian. The other honor students are Sarah Jane Erickson, Harry Auvermann and Ruth Sannes. National Honor Society Members of the National Honor Society are: Betty Brown, President; Peggy Brimmer, Vice President; Ruth Sannes, Secretary; Anna Lee Bauer, Treasurer; Douglas Dodds, Sarah Jane Erickson, Loris Ann Kastner, Kenneth Madsen, Tavie Martinez, Lucille Parker, Robert Sullins, Kathleen Douglas, George Eliopulos, Gloria Lynch, Wanda Thompson. Citizenship Award The awards this year, given to the Senior boy and girl who are considered to rank highest in scholarship, loyalty, and achievment, go to Vern Vivion for the boys and Peggy Brimmer and Jeanne Rochelle, girls. B. P. W. Scholarship Awards The B. P. W. award to the Senior girl who has the highest commercial standing goes to Lucille Parker. An award is also given to the Senior girl having the highest rank in scholarship. Lucille Parker also receives this award. Lion’s Scholarship Awards Each year the Lion’s Club awards a medal to the boy with the highest standing in each of the three lower classes. This year these awards go to George Eliopulos, Junior; Raymond Tickner, Sophomore; Ronald Oberholtzer, Freshman. P. E. 0. Awards Each year the Rawlins Chapter of P. E. O awards a medal to the girl with the highest average in each of the three lower classes. These awards this year go to Wanda Thompson, Junior; Catherine Ingram, Sophomore; Beverly Lyon, Freshman. Bausch and Lomb Award Winners of the Bausch and Lomb Award are: Philip Wood — Harry Auvermann Westing-house Award The Westinghouse Science Award: Kenneth Madsen, Honorable Mention

Roundup ♦ ♦ ♦ The “Roundup” During the course of this year, the “ROUNDUP” staft under the direction of Miss Insley, has strived to make this annual of ours, a treasure to hold permanently. We have tried to catch the spirit of Rawlins High. Packed between these covers are the pictures of your friends—pictures of the fun you had and where you had it—your picture—your triumph and failure. Rawlins High School life assumed a new serious tone as we, the high school students geared ourselves for war. We hope that the 1944 Roundup will do more than present a summary of the year's events, and that it will recreate in your memories a vivid picture of this highly significant year.
