SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Max Foster ............. President June Measures .... Secretary-Treasurer Henry Swanson ....... Vice President Lester Erb ..... Class Representative Mr. Howard W. Wood ................. Sponsor On September 2, 1932 some ninety of us ambitious Freshmen entered R. H. S. Mr. Wood, our sponsor, introduced us to High School life. We inaugurated the idea of painting the “R” without the help of the Sophomore Class. Our Sophomore year was marked by a dance we sponsored for the rest of the students As we entered our Junior year, the Class of 36 really felt we had attained a memorable place in R. H. S. We undertook the very successful project of selling punch and cake at the dances in order to raise money for the Prom. Candy sales at basketball games, and the Junior Follies gave us the remainder of our required financial equipment. “The Queen’s Nose,” a one-act play, and a minstrel show made our Junior Follies an outstanding success. To our great satisfaction, we successfully entertained the Class of ’35. the Faculty and the Board of Education at the Junior and Senior Prom on May 25. A dinner was served at the Masonic Temple, and then dancing was enjoyed in the colorfully decorated gym. As the Class of ’36 climbed to the last rung of the ladder of our high school careers and became seniors, we felt we had an honored position to fill. “Senior Day” was enjoyably spent on April 17. The Senior Class entertained the student body at an assembly which consisted of two plays. The very delightful Senior Ball was given in the evening. On May 22 we presented “Say It With Flowers.” a three-act comtdy. As a final farewell we were entertained by the Junior Class at the Prom on May 25. The class wishes to thank our sponsor, Mr. Wood, for his constant interest in our welfare, and to wish him happiness in the future. To each member of the class we extend our sincere w ish of joy and success in the years to follow.—Ruth Stratton.
