142373 ' 1 add prophecy It is now 1972. Having nothing to do I turned on the TV set to see my favorite program, WPeople Are Funny.' To my surprise the program was suddenly interrupted by some- thing funnier yet-William Jiricek was going to give a cam- paign speech, His manager is the former Peggy Carpenter, now William's sister-in-law and the mother of six children, who is traveling with William. Immediately following his great TV speech, William left to start his campaigning elsewhere in the U.S. and to look up his old classmates to be sure of their votes. His first stop is Chicago, with reservations at the famous Carol Hotel, the former Stevens Hotel. Here he met five of his old classmates. The former Carol Hollenbeck. William's cousin, and her husband who are owners of the hotel. Carl Smith with his famous western orchestra with its equally famous guitar player, Elden Ridgway, are booked for the week. Elden started in his musical career at Ravinia High School, where he played the bass horn. As William, his wife and sons are seated at their table, enjoying the program, he sees a familiar face at the table. Thinking back, he recognizes the person as being the former Rose Kmock and her multimillionaire husband, who is a rancher in Texas. They are on their second honeymoon. From the corner we hear loud sounds and hurry to the scene. Guess who? The famous bouncer, John Smith, who has retired after playing ten years of professional football with the Los Angeles Rams. This being a special occasion at the Carol Hotel, the chief cook, Hubert Crichton, was serving the meals for the day. Hubert has been chief cook at the hotel for the past ten years. He is especially famous for the wonderful chile he makes. Hubert is the most elgible bachelor in town and cooks only as a hobby which is quite an attraction for both the Carol Hotel and Hubert. During the past week William has done a great job of campaigning and is now ready to leave with his family for Minneapolis. Arriving at his destination, and getting out of his plane, William trips over the last step and falls, breaking his ankle and knocking himself out. An emergency ambulance rushed to the scene. On the way to the hospital Wm. gained consciousness and recognizes the driver as JoAnn Nedved, a former classmate. JoAnn is the famous dare devil racer and stunt driver, one of Joey Chitwood's star performers. At the hospital he finds another classmate of '52, D.E. Dvorak M.D. Darrell is a bone specialist but works whenever called, no matter what the department. Just as William is being wheeled out of the operating room, there is a collision in the hall, two operating tables crash together. On the other

Margaret and Evelyn are also graduates of the class of 'S2. This is the 100th set of twins she has de- livered. Darrell and Margaret have nom taken the cast off of William's ankle and he is now ready to travel to his last stop, his home-town, Ravinia. n the streamliner he sees a well-known movie actress and chorus girl. Her face looks familiar and on her luggage is the name Larrie Kris. Now recognizes her as the former Lorraine Crisman, who is also on her way to Ravinia for a vacation and to sive a perfor- mance to help raise money for an addition on the new audit- orium. William and Larrie decide to put on a combined camp- aign and entertainment program, which should attract a large crowd. we are now arriving at Ravinia which has grown to be one of the largest cities in the United States. That even- ing there is a reception scheduled for William. Doris' Dress Shop, which is owned by the former Doris Uecker, who is married to one of Ravinia's wealthiest car dealers, is sponsoring the reception and is featuring a style show, in which Doris will model the latest gowns, sent directly from Paris. Before going back to New York at the close of Will- iam's campaign we must first look in upon Katherine Sell, who is now Dean of Women at the Ravinia University. Kath- erine was supposed to be one of the speakers at Williamls reception but because of the unpredictable South Dakota wea- ther found it impossible to attend. And last but not least, we find that our former senior class sponsor, none other than Mr. Thomas McGinty, is now Professor of history at the University of Ravinia. we see that everyone has lived u t 1 2 motto WNot finished, just begun.W P O our 95 class Cfadd W Margaret Benson-wills her love for wearing dresses to the freshman girls .
