X VOTE forJUM F I 4- 1 UNDERCLASSES Junlors 0 s ,co QQ DO G-v X .1- 1 Back row left to rigkt, Mr Kysar, Bill Iogan, Donald Schmitz, Paul tuley, and Dale Wilson Middle row Paul Schmitz, Leroy Hammond, Marvin Bmadstone, Leon Yhlker, leo Auffert, Paul Thrasher, and Steven Tompkins Front rw Magaret Mclntosh, Rita Vankloutan, Sharii Warner, Beverly Cripe, Edna Madden, Kay Jackson, and Wanda Clark Freshmen On an earl, September rrorrung ln 1952 twelve bevuldered looklnp freshmen h1t a new hlgh and cl1mbed the stalrs at R H S To start us off Mr Wllkes was chosen as class sponsor and Dale Alleon, presldent Joan Bodle V1ce president, R1ta VanHoutan, secretarx, and Jerzjy Somerv1lle, treasurer Dale Wllson and Kay Jackson were representatives for the student councll After belne introduced to our classes we were ready for the gruesome initiatlon then came the school carnlval 1h WhlCh we took part The band, and both the softball and basketball teams found several class menbers participating the early fall we entertalned with an all school party The Cdnlhg of May found us no longer green freshmen but at last phomores After loslng Joan Bodle and Neal Weidman, ten orivinal members returned to our home room under this new title to welcome Mr Corken as sponsor and nine new members from Parnell Hlgh School Class officers were Kav Jackson, president, Leon walker, v1ce president, Paulie Schmitz, secretary treasurer and Edna Madden ard Dale N11S0h on the student council Aga1n all sorts of activities found the sophomores participating Varvin Broadstone was chosen to represent the cl ss at the Sophomore Pilerimage We numbered twenty-one members as Jack Pankau and Bonnie Reden joined the class in late spring With school time runmng we could flnallv re classified as Juniors After a three months vacation ve resumed our stud1es under the sponsor ship of Nr Ksvsar and roasted of elrhteen members after Jack Pankau, Bonnie Reden and Jerr Somerville withdrew from the class Duties were assigned to Steve Tompkins, president Marvin Broadstone, vice president, Kay Jackson, secretar , Edna Vadden, treasurer, and Paul Riley and Bill Logan as student council members We were host to a skat1nr party, carried out a proiect of picking un corn , and then came the thrilllng experlence of receiving ourciass rinps 14 o 1 A k N W' ,f I' 1' ' -5 .
