Ardean and Friend Fmmie Green Valley On March 19 the senior class of R.H.S. presented GREEN VALLEY to the student body. It was a Comedy-Fantasy in three acts with 18 characters. The Valley, owned by Eldon Berry, DENNIS CLICK, is about to be lost to the unscrupulous hands of one Tobias J. Everheel, DANNY HAUGHT. Eldon does not want to lose the land at this time because it has become so plentiful. Even his cow, Minnie gives gallons of rare milk--milk so rare that those who drink it hear weird music and see people . . . people who officially stopped walking the earth many years before. Like everyone else, Prim Stokes, ANN MCCOY, who was in love with Eldon, didn't believe it ei- ther until Lonesome Berry, WARD KING, materialized and planted a kiss on her surprised lips. The other live characters were Tinker Smith, DON BONAR, a skinny, perplexed tractor driver of 22, Martha Mears, MARGIE ROWLEY, a cultured woman of the Historical Society, and Eva Friese, ALOISE HUGHES, an outspoken creamery maid. Those from the past were Grampaw Berry, DAN POWELL, Granny Berry, CAROL CAVENDER, Cal- houn Berry, WILMER TAYLOR, Jeb Berry, IORDEN VanNEST, Ransome Berry, DEAN MOORE, and Prudence, MARY LOU KITTLE. The displaced settlers were Rufe Thomas, DANNY MCGREW, Sarah, IAN Wl-IITE, Hip Cooley, TED SUCK, Mamie, ANNABEL DUNCAN, and Shade Stokes, ROY CLICK. In the happy ending, GREEN VALLEY was restored and Prim's love was no longer a one -sided af- fair. The relatives and friends from the past went back to their graves and everyone is happy. The play was also presented on March 20 for the Public and on the 21st for the Elementary School. Everyone enjoyed it very much. f W ' L ,.,--Q. . .YL ' - v'f g m. 35 3, wi gif 4512 , 1 Bev Jim, Peggy and Bill 47 Sue's Party , J K , f, , J fiqfffa ,M-vwrf Margie
