Senior Rhymes WILMER TAYLOR With cheeks so rosy and dimples so merry, Our Homecoming King is as quiet as a fairy. He likes to manage football and drive his car, And at his m.p.h. he should go far. HARRY ROUSH With a twinkle in his eye and mischief in his smile, He has had the school marrns in a dither for quite a while. To a girl named Sue he has given his heart, And our wishes are that they will never part. MARY LOU KITTLE Here's one kittle that never stews, She always minds her P's and Q's . Quiet and studious is her trait, To school she is never late. CAROL CAVENDER 'Here's a girl named Carol Jean, To a certain boy she could never be mean. To school she trudges every day, And is always late in the usual way. MARGIE ROWLEY First girl president since 46 , She's just as proper as Dorothy Dix. She may be late and she may be slow, But she'll always get where she's bound to go. WAYNE RHODES His other name Cletis , we will tell you, Of friends he has many, enemies, few. He rides the bus to school each day, The reason why? He lives out Cottageville way. DAN MCGREW The library whiz is our Danny boy, To a girl in Ripley he isn't coy. He plays a mean trombone in our high school band. There is no telling where this boy will land. BEV BLAKE Here is our co-editor, full of fun and lots of life, As we said before she'll make Don a good wife. She faces school with a smile each day, To this swell girl we shout Hooray ! DIANE STEVENSON Short and cute and Darry nice, Our Diane adds the spice to life. She loves to play on the piano, Good luck to you Diane-0. CHARLOTTE MONROE A champion twirler in our class have we, To her Eddie McCoy is that certain he. She loves animals and sports and fun, Any job she does is a job well done. CAROLYN FLESHER With hair so dark and eyes to match To Buzzy Casto she has become attached. She edits the school paper nine months of the year, With her ability, Phil Fourney has something to fear, WILFORD HAFER An art genius and the shortest boy in the class, Wilford is one boy we just can't pass. Quiet and friendly is his trait You bet he'll always go straight. PAUL MOREHEAD Here he is with freckles and a grin, Lack of study is his only sin. He argues the teachers that black is white. And sometimes we wonder if he isn't right. LAURABEL FERGUSON Of the bright redhead in our class we say, Here's a gal who has a smile each day. She likes to drive and go to town, This girl's energy will never run down. MYRTLE WILSON Strike up the band and clear the floor, The Homecoming Queen is entering the door. She leads the cheering at all the games, The kids call her Mirt --that's her nick name. FRANK SMEEKS This boy drives a white Ford truck, He has lots of fun and lives on luck. Smeeks operates the ferry when his Dad's not there He's a good sport and always takes a dare. DENNIS CLICK Dennis Click is free and ready, He doesn't have a girl, or want to go steady. This boy is tall and has eyes of blue, It it wasn't for him I don't know what we would do. ROY CLICK Roy Click doesn't like to roam, He calls Mud-Sock his home sweet home. Roy really Clicks with all the kids in school. As some people say He's really cool . PAUL ICENHOWER Ike as he is called by his friends and pals, Is a boy who likes jokes and lots of howls. He likes to argue with his teachers in class, But it's always the teachers who gets to speak last. SANDRA MCGRAW A whiz in typing is our girl Sandy, And for her fiance she sure picked a dandy. She goes for Chuck in a great big way, She'll be lighting his pipe instead of typing some day BETTY RARDIN Betty likes to laugh and have lots of fun, She takes things easy to make sure they're done. If you ever need help in sewing or cooking, just ask this chap who is real nice looking. SUE DIVERS Sue Divers is increasing her vocabulary, So in the future she'll make a good secretary. Don't be surprised if she 's president someday, The first thing she'll do is increase the teacher's pay. CARL WHITE He isn't a boy who yells and shouts, But seldom do you see him pout. We don't know who's the girl of his life, But you can bet he'll choose a good wife. JANE BAILES This girl beats a mean drum in our band, Andi only one certain he has permission to hold her and. She's friendly to all who meet her everywhere, This goes well with her black, curly hair. ALOISE HUGHES Aloise Hughes is not like the rest, She's not going steady but she's doing her best. Attractive and charming as you might expect, Her motto is Finish-- never neglect . VEVA MCCLURE Veva McClure makes it quite clear, That Rob is her property, and also her dear. For going to school she isn't so cheery, From Mon. till Fri. she seems quite dreary. BETTY PATTERSON Betty Patterson wants out of school, She's tired of obeying the golden rule. She's short and quiet and shy as can be, But as long as she's Betty we don't care do we? PATTY SALSER Patty Salser has found her match, And on to her man she hopes to latch. She comes to school on a bus each day, And hails from a place called Sherman they say. EDNA SHAMBLIN Edna Shamblin likes to work, And her duty she'll never shirk. A boy named Red is on her mind, And boys like him are hard to find. ANNABELLE SHINN Annabelle Shinn likes going steady, So when Brooks ask her she was quite ready. She's friendly and quiet the whole day through, And is a person who is never blue. TED SUCK Here's a boy with light brown hair, He stays out late without a care. His greatest joy is teasing gals, And always has lots of pals. ANN MCCOY Ann McCoy is as sweet as a peach, And on one side of her head you will find a little bleach But it's really most becoming we sayg Ann is one of the peppiest girls in our class today.
